Our responsibilities
- Requests made through this channel remain confidential between the Enquirer (yourself) and us (Lancashire Constabulary).
- Information is disclosed under Schedule 2, Part 1, Paragraph 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.
- The Data Controller is Lancashire Constabulary.
- We are not obliged to disclose details of your requests as a result of any Freedom of Information enquiries.
- We may however provide statistical information as a result of such requests, including but not limited to the search items and financial statistics.
- All financial transactions are made outside of this system using the Pay360 Advanced Payments service. No card details are held within this system.
- Our process is as transparent as possible and we will aim to always keep you informed, via this system and/or email, as to the status of your enquiry.
Your responsibilities
In order to use this service you must be an insurer, solicitor or legal representative.
The information disclosed is used solely for the purposes of making a claim for damages and/or injury.
You agree to the terms that the information contained within any disclosure is not published or shared with any other person or organisation unless this is for the purposes of making a civil claim for damages/injury. Ie: You may share this with the third-party insurer, or a legal representative you have appointed, but you must not share this with any party that has no connection in resolving your claim.
Disclosure is subject to the payment of a fee which will be subject to VAT. Prices across the system are displayed inclusive of VAT.
Some sensitive information will be redacted from the report. Redaction will include, but not be limited to; dates of birth, driving licences or contact details other than postal addresses.
Before contacting us to check on the status of an enquiry, please log in to this system and check for yourself; We endeavour to action all requests as quickly as possible. The enquiry status will be updated automatically as we action requests, please do not chase us as this may cause additional delays.
When payment is required, you will be expected to make it digitally using a credit/debit card.
No other means of payment are available.All fees are non-refundable
Response times
- Requests are dealt with in strict date of receipt order. Due to the nature of this type of enquiry a search can take a considerable time, and we can only complete a search if all investigations and/or proceedings are concluded.
- Activities beyond our control can delay disclosure, sometimes significantly, for
example:
- An ongoing court case which could affect the disclosure of any of the items we offer for purchase.
- Delays in processing Police documentation, be they due to technical issues or resource availability.
- Handling searches for older incidents may incur additional time due to record archiving and data protection activities beyond our control.
- There may be delays in processing if insufficient information is provided in your initial request. Please watch for notifications from our system should we request additional information.
